I see the role of MC as the link between the audience, the speakers, the content and the experience.  Behind the scenes and prior to the event, I like to connect (phone, zoom or in person) with all of the speakers to better understand what they will be communicating, and to ensure that I link their messages to the overall theme.  My intros of speakers are never reading their bio – that’s boring!  I’m all for sharing something a little deeper than that, to help the audience connect with the human behind the titles and accolades.

Yes!  Thank goodness – we need more storyteller in the workplace!  Stories have the power to change our beliefs and behaviours, and they are one of the greatest tools for engaging audiences. When stories are told well, they are memorable, emotional and meaningful and can inspire action! They move people in some way, which is why I call it Story Moving.  Less telling, more moving people – to feel, think and do, as a result of your story.  This program is fundamentally about communicating in a way that provides clarity, is inspiring and engaging, and uses the power of stories to really slam your message home.  Want to tell better work stories?

Hey there – keen to know a bit more?  Here goes (although I much better in person, than on a browser…)

I work in the Leadership & Teams space and like to call myself a Connection & Engagement expert. What that means is I am passionate about helping people love what they do, find meaning in their work, and create and deliver outcomes that are meaningful and make a difference to the lives of people.

I believe you should either love what you do or change what you do! Life is too short for anything in between. I’m on a mission to help people LOVE MONDAYS because they get to go to a job they love, with people they love, and they groan on Friday’s because they will miss everyone for a couple of days. (You laugh, I know, but I believe it’s possible to love a Monday!)

I have worked in leadership roles for two decades, in the private and public sectors, including 10 years in local government. I have traversed the terrains of Arts & Culture, Venues & Events, Manufacturing, Information Technology, and small business. I even launched (and failed) a start-up…that’s a story for another time…

For the past 4 years, I’ve built my own practice fundamentally around the 4 Well-BEings of teams, and how to lead with increased confidence, strong character and effective communication that leads to Great Teams that really work, filled with Monday lovers delivering more meaningful outcomes.

I help Leaders build and develop more meaningful teams by creating the conditions and environments for their people to thrive and shine. Teams that are committed, engaged, productive and effective. Teams of people who love what they do, find meaning in their work, and create and deliver outcomes that are meaningful and have impact.
